Hey Everyone!

I want to start by apologizing for not updating in over a year (wow, thats bad!)

Here are a few updates for you:

My business has not changed, I am still taking wedding and portrait clients. I just got really busy and bad at posting them here.

Currently I am in the process of designing a new blog. It will be introduced in the winter.

So I am able to spend more time with my clients, and working on the new blog I will not be updating this one again until the new one is ready. But, I do have a Dorie Lynn Photography Facebook page where you can see my most recent images, and any updates. You can find the link to the right.

On a personal note, this past May I got married. My husband is in the service but I will be staying in Mass to continue taking new clients. Here is a shot of us from the day:

Whirlwind

It sure has been a crazy month or so. Website and e-mail problems, planning my wedding, sessions and meetings oh my! It has been a little overwhelming, and apologize for the lack of posting (I tend to do that a lot!) :)

Well I will have some down time in the next week, and I promise a full post then. Then back into the swing of things with sessions, weddings, and seeing my Fiance again for the first time in 7 months!!

Family fun

It’s that time of year again. The time where the New England weather is finally sunny and warm, and we are able to get outside! Due to this gorgeous weather, I have been super busy with Children and Family sessions. I love being able to see the children I used to photograph as babies grow up before my eyes!

First up I had my first session with this wonderful family. Little “P” has the most gorgeous curls, and adorable giggle. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Next I have these adorable sisters. I have been photographing this family for over 3 years, and every session is just as eventful as the last. We had fun jumping, running and singing the dinosaur song:

The past few weeks have been really busy, I love the beginning of wedding season!

First up I have Molly and Brian. They are truly an amazing couple, and their wedding was so intimate and the day could not have been more gorgeous! Here are a few of my favorites from their day:

Today is so gorgeous! I made sure to spend lots of time outside soaking up the sun! I am looking forward to more days like today. :)

Spring is finally here

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Emmanuella. She is a wonderful model I have worked with before and was so thrilled to work with her again. She just needed updated headshots, but I thought it would be fun to do some with balloons. If you haven’t already noticed, I kind of love balloons! Here are some of my favorites:

Lastly, and on a more personal note, I am getting married! Since Eric is still overseas he had my friend act as a “proxy” while he asked me over the phone. It was so sweet and I feel so lucky to be able to call him my fiancé! :) Here is a quick shot of us in Guam.

Back in Boston

After a few months in Guam, I am back in Boston. It was beautiful, but I am looking forward to spending the spring and early summer here in New England. If you are interested in booking a session, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

I had a great session just this past week that I would like to share. One of the best parts of my job is being able to see my clients children grow. When I get to go back and see them after a few months and document the change. I photographed this little one for the first time when her mom was pregnant, then again as a newborn. Here she is at one year:

Hello Guam!

I just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that I have safely arrived on the gorgeous island of Guam. What a shock it was to get on the plane in Boston in 5 degree weather and get off in Guam to 85 degrees. So wonderful!

Ok, I know that I have been a horrible blogger the past 6 months, but I plan on changing that in this upcoming year.

Now some details on my trip. I leave in just 2 days for Guam. I will be back and available for sessions in mid-April. I am heading back at the beginning of July and will be back again in September for a few months. If you would like to set up a session for the spring/early summer or early fall, get in touch with me as soon as possible. I will have access to e-mail and voicemail so I will be in touch!

My dear blog readers, I am so sorry for my lack of posting the past few months. Some might think it is from a lack of work, but it is the opposite actually.

I want to share a few of my favorite images from my sessions over the past few months:

The past few weeks have been full of some wonderful sessions and weddings!

Just a few things to mention

I know I have so many things to blog about but I have only time for two things right now...

You may remember I photographed the amazing mind/body specialist Kimberly Welby a couple months back. Well her website is up and I wanted to share it.

Here comes the rain again....

It may be raining, but the 60 degree weather softens the blow! Unfortunately, living in New England means it will probably snow again soon…

I have had a few great sessions that I am excited to share.

Let’s start with little baby “E”. She was such a doll, giggling the whole time! Baby laughs have got to be one of the happiest sounds in the world. Here are a few of my favorites:

Next up is a wonderful Maternity session I had last weekend. They had two adorable dogs that wanted to jump in all the pictures!

I had a super fun engagement session with Sarahjean and Derek last weekend as well. These two are so great to be around. They are warm, beautiful and hilarious. I have not laughed so hard in a long time!

You may remember these two gorgeous ladies. I have always thought that Ellen and Paulette looked alike and I wanted to do a shoot with them showcasing that and their different personalities.

Lastly, I had a great shoot with Shawndy, a beautiful model, a little over a week ago.We decided to go to Salem, the architecture is really Gothic in some locations so it was a fun contrast with her light dress.

I have gotten a few e-mails asking about my wedding website. I am working on it and will have it live in the next week. I will announce it when it goes live!

Baby, it’s cold outside!

The weather has been so weird lately! Yesterday, as Pete and I were driving around, it went from bright sun to horrible snow showers and back to sun again. You have to love New England!

A few weeks back I had a great session with this family. Little “G” was such a good little model. So smiley and she had a great little happy baby yell. :)

I also had a great session with Kimberly Welby, an amazing yoga and core fusion instructor. I was able to take a class before the shoot (not for yoga, but core fusion) She is so inspiring, and really pushes you to the max. So much so that I wasn’t able to walk the whole next week! ;) I guess it is about time to get back in shape!

Her website should be up soon and I will be sure to pass it along!

Last weekend, the weather was so unseasonably warm I took advantage and took Ashley out for some pictures. I’m glad I did, now being stuck in the frozen tundra we call Boston!

It has been so chilly here that I have not been able to do too much outside. I was able to get my friend Sarah out for a little session in the warm 50 degree weather last week! It’s funny how around here we consider 50 degrees warm! Here are a few of my faves:

Wow, I am a bad blogger!

This Holiday season took me by surprise. I was a lot busier than I anticipated which is really great! I have LOTS of fun shoots to share so I will get right down to it:

You may remember this cutie. This is Pete’s nephew and he just gets cuter by the second. Every time I see him he says more things, and this time he thought it would be fun to “tackle” me. It is football season after all!

Next up are these adorable twin girls. They were a ball of giggles and I had such a great time with them.

I LOVE tutu’s!

I also had the pleasure of photographing these guys. They are all cousins and by the end of the shoot, one of the little girls was wearing my “party shoes” and hugging on to my leg. I cannot wait to go back and photograph this group again!

…and those lashes. These kids were all so beautiful!!

My boss is next on the list. She is one of my best friends and I am lucky to have her in my life. I thought it would be fun to photograph her as I see her…beautiful!!

While I am adding some model stuff, I also had the pleasure of photographing Christa, an aspiring. She is from the south so she was not really prepared for the cold weather. I tried something a little different with a balloon. I love balloons with the kids, and why shouldn't adults get to have some fun too? ;)

Next, I have this really cute brother and sister. They were so cute and the older sister was so sweet to her brother.

Amy is a co-worker of mine and also an actress. We thought it might be fun to photograph her in a way she is not usually. She is so much fun and we made her kind of punk rock/Emo.

And I have another group of cousins. I photographed the little guys parents wedding a few years back and his mom is my hairdresser. What a great group of people and adorable kids (I guess all kids are cute, or at least all my clients! ;))
Oh! I almost forgot this sweet newborn. I swear November was the month for newborns. I photographed more newborns this past November than I did all last year!

I just loved this babies milky skin with the nanny's hands!

Lastly I have a couple pictures from Julia and Drew's wedding Faith and I did a few weeks back, when I get Faith’s pictures they will be on the blue sky blog.
Whew! Lots of fun, beautiful, family, friends and kids I was able to photograph this past month. The best part is that was only a few of them! I really do LOVE my job! Thank you to all my clients who allowed me to photograph their families, every shoot was a pleasure!

That is all for now. I promise I will not neglect this blog any more. I have some fun shoots coming up this week and also I am working on a new website. YAY! I plan on getting it live for the first of January. Start the New Year with a new website. I will keep you posted on exactly when.

What a busy week!

On Monday I had a really great shoot with an adorable newborn. The weather could not have been more perfect, and little Mr. "J" was so calm and happy. Here are a few of my favorites.

There is this game going around professional photographer’s blogs. You tell eight little known things about you and then name some other photographers. I was not really tagged, but watching this game going around made me want to play. So, I tagged myself ;)

1. When I was in photography school, I was convinced I was going to be a fashion photographer. I planned on being the next Herb Ritts. It was not until I started at a children’s photography studio that I realized that I had a knack for it, and that is what I wanted to do.

2. I love Britney Spears. Granted I think she needs some underwear, mothering classes and a hug, but I still love her. I can’t help it!

3. Until I was sixteen I was scared to death of cats! I was attacked when I was two, so even the cutest little kitten made me nervous. Someone gave me a kitten for my sixteenth birthday and I was terrified. I was not able to sleep the first night because she kept purring and trying to sleep on me. It only took me a week to warm up to her, and almost nine years and another kitten later she is still purring and trying to sleep on me. :)

4. I can drink coffee 24 hours a day.

5. My dad is the coolest dad in the world. Seriously, he is one of my biggest inspirations. I am told we are exactly alike and I take it as the biggest compliment.

6. I am ridiculously superstitious. Sometimes almost to the point of OCD. For example, I have to check my alarm three (count ‘em) three times before I can go to sleep at night or it will not go off in the morning, and I can’t listen to the traffic report in the morning, otherwise I will get stuck in it. OK so my superstitions are not the norm because I have a black cat who crosses my path constantly and that’s OK. Go figure. :)

7. When I was nineteen I moved in with my grandmother and my dad. I cut my work to part time and took her on all her errands and just kept her company when otherwise she would be alone. Until I moved in with her I didn’t know her very well, and I am glad I got the chance. She became like my best friend and living with her and my dad was one of the best things that could have happened to me at that point. I learned a lot about her and my grandfather (who had passed away eight years earlier) and she got to know about me. Her death is the most devastating thing that I have had to deal with. It was five years ago last week. She is still my inspiration and actually the reason for my personal project which will be displayed when I put my new site live next month (more on that later)

8. I am a daredevil when it comes to shooting. If you have ever seen me shoot you know what I mean. Climbing on furniture, up trees, on the edge of a porch even standing on top of a ladder. If there is something that will give me a higher angle that I can climb on, I will, most of the time while holding a reflector with me feet (true story) I actually had to make this statement once: “I will not fall out of this huge tree while holding on with one hand and keeping the reflector straight with my feet so don’t worry, just look happy.” :) I guess that is not so much a little known fact, but I am an open book so I was running out of stuff.

Beauty is everywhere!

A little over a year ago my friend and fellow photographer Lynette was telling me that her three children were at a hard age to photograph. She asked if I would mind trying. Seeing as we knew each other from work I had never actually met them. Of course I agreed, and early on the next Sunday morning I went to her house to find three of the most beautiful children I had ever seen! They were fun and friendly and have become some of my favorite models. This past weekend I had to pleasure of doing their pictures again and we had a blast. Maranda played peek-a-boo with a leaf bigger than her head, Kiah was acting too cool, and Jada hung from a tree. Here are some of my favs:

After I photographed Lynette’s children, I photographed her friend’s newborn cousin. She is so sweet, and at three weeks old I would say she is a pretty good model!

Lastly, I photographed a model on Tuesday. Hareem and I met at the Boston Public Gardens and had a really great shoot.

So behind…

I am so behind on blogging!!! It has been a busy couple of weeks. I have lots of fun things to share.

Faith and I had the pleasure of photographing Casey and Johnny’s wedding at the Quincy Marriott a few weeks ago. It was such an intimate ceremony on the deck just as the sun had fallen below the horizon. Their reception was quite the party to say the least. The music had everyone on their feet the whole time. We really had a great time!

I also had the pleasure of doing some post wedding bridal shots of Bridget. She is the stunning bride whose wedding Faith and I photographed back in July. Running around Revere Beach with a beautiful woman in a bridal gown was interesting to say the least. :) Everyone made comments and asked questions, mostly wondering if she had really gotten married or if she was just walking around the beach in a wedding gown…

Also, If you area recent bride (that I have photographed or otherwise) and are interested in pictures like this, with or without your husband, after your wedding day, please comment or e-mail me. I really LOVE doing these.

You may also remember these cuties, my goddaughter and her sister. We thought it may be fun to play on the beach at sunset. The only problem is that the town we went to only has permit parking, so we watched the beautiful sun fall below the water from the comfort of my car!! We were able to get to the water to enjoy the red and orange sky, thanks to their mom watching my illegally parked car. :) Oh fun, what I’ll do for a picture.

The weather today is just fantastic!! I really wish I had an outdoor shoot!

I know, I know, I am really behind on blogging. I will skip the small talk and get right to it.

Faith and I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica and Trevor’s wedding in York, Maine this past weekend. We had such a great time. It was subtly elegant and such a blast. The DJ had everyone going with games all night! Here are a few of my faves:

The last tastes of summer...

Pete and I went down the Cape again this past weekend. Every year down there we go to this beach. I call it the sunset beach because the sunsets there are just breathtaking. Just after the sun sank over the horizon, I decided to set up the timer and snap this shot of me walking away. I guess it is kind of a good bye to summer.

Can you smell the faint scent of maple and a crispness in the air? Looks like fall is on it's way ;)

- “Cowboy take me away” by the Dixie Chicks

I thought that title was appropriate for a post including some vacation pictures. :) I started by going down the Cape for a few days with Pete and his wonderful family. We had a relaxing couple of days on the beach. We also played a lot of baseball with Brendan the future MVP.

If that doesn’t say pitch me the ball NOW, I don’t know what does. ;)

Then Faith and I had a great time photographing Liz and Craig’s engagement pictures. After we did some beach stuff I thought it would be nice to see what downtown had to offer. We got one great shot and then got in trouble for shooting on the street. Oops!

Next up was Pete and my little get away to Vermont. It is so BEAUTIFUL up there! Even though while up there I got a cold, we were still able to enjoy canoeing and the sunsets.
This week, I also had the pleasure of photographing Alex for her sweet sixteen. What a great model!

I am really feeling the love this summer. Most of my shoots lately have been engagement, weddings or just couple wanting some fun summer images. Even I dragged Pete to have our pictures taken by my super talented friend Jaime (we did a little trade, today I am photographing her and her boyfriend…SO EXCITED!) I guess that’s why they call it summer love! :)

Last week I photographed my friend Jovee and her girlfriend Chrissy. I have to say I love the feeling I get from couples like them, they are so playful and fun. Plus they were totally willing to do what I thought would look cool… “Trust me, getting soaked in the waterfall that people are not supposed to go in is totally cool.”

This past weekend was Pete’s cousins wedding, where I for the first time was the guest at a wedding. I am not very good at being the guest. Gorgeous bride + Handsome groom = a very jealous Dorie. I did end up snapping a few shots though.

This week I was also able to photograph these two future heartbreakers. I think boys in general are just so funny, maybe that is my baby brothers doing. Anyway, these little guys were so much fun, jumping, running and releasing balloons.

Lastly, just a note, I will be on a much needed mini-vacation from Saturday 8/18 through Tuesday 8/21. I will e out of town and most likely not have access to internet or my voicemail. Any e-mails or calls will be returned when I get back on Wednesday.

Well, it has been a little while since I have updated, so there are lots of new pictures and stories.

Let’s start with last week, my good friend Julie’s niece was going to be up from out west for a couple days and she asked if I could take a few shots. Look at how beautiful she is! She has the cutest smile, and her giggle will make you giggle too!

Next up are my friends Paulette and Matt. When Matt told me a few weeks ago that him and Paulette were getting married the first thing I said (after congrats of course!) was “Can I shoot your wedding?” :) They are such a fun, loving couple. I am really excited to be able to capture their special day! Last weekend we had a great time doing their engagement photos.

Last weekend was also Courtney and Paul's wedding. I only have one to share because I am still working on them:It was such a fun wedding! Thanks again for letting Faith and I come along!

Last is Pete’s adorable nephew Brendan. I have been photographing him since he was born and this past week he turned two. He is such a funny little guy. He loves to say “I found it!” and “Brendan throws like Papelbon” Would you expect any less from a Boston toddler?
Look how big he is! :)

These are my friends Kate and Damon: It’s funny when you spend time with people and then when you photograph them. You see them in a different light. They are the type of couple that you love to be around because they are silly, and sweet all at the same time. I also had a great shoot on Monday with two super cute kids:

Summer fun in the summer sun!

On Monday, I had a shoot with these two great kids: We had such a good time jumping, spinning and racing. Plus look how cute they are! I have a small soft spot for freckles ;) Thanks to their Mom for letting me photograph them!

I also had a GREAT shoot with my friend Jaime yesterday. She is stunning and I have had this idea to photograph her in a Marilyn Monroe type fashion. I went with the Milton Greene shot of her lying in bed, we added Jaime’s personality and this is what we got:

We also took some fun ones in her hallway: Jaime is an amazing photographer and turned the lens on me too. I can’t wait to see them, maybe I’ll even share a few.

Sunday, Faith and I head down the Cape for Bridget and Toby’s wedding. We are so excited to photograph a wedding down there.

You’re my best friend…

Yesterday I had a shoot with my friend/co-worker Karen and her good friend Amy. What a fun time! It started pouring during the shoot but that did not stop us! We just kept taking pictures and having a blast. When I got home and looked though the images, I loved a lot of them. The way they laughed and joked, it was so great…

And a couple of Karen alone:

It made me think of me and my friend Julie. Friends are SO important. Without them who do you have to laugh with or cry to? Julie and I had an especially crazy weekend, complete with getting locked out of my apartment, a call to the fire department and climbing through the second story window from a fire ladder at 1:30am (by the way, Pete slept through the whole thing). Even though being stuck outside my apartment for two hours was not fun, Julie (the eternal optimist) made a good point of saying “There is no one else I would rather be locked outside at 1 in the morning with” and it’s true. We made the best of it. I really cherish our friendship. Here is a picture of my lovely friend:

I have to say that moving is NOT fun. I had never moved before and had no idea it would be so difficult. Now that I am settled in I am able to get back to business!

Courtney and Paul are getting married in August. They are such a nice couple, and their dog Cooper is SO cute! We decided to do lots of shots with him because he is such a big part of the family.

Plus look at that face, how could I stop! :)

This week I also got to photograph Bridget and Toby for their engagement photos. Walden Pond is where he proposed so we thought it would make a great backdrop. Their wedding is only a little over a week away and it is going to be in beautiful Hyannis. Both of them are really sweet and a lot of fun to be around. I can’t wait till the wedding!

I am still behind on editing, and don’t worry…I haven’t forgotten the images from photo day. All in good time, I promise.

Oh, right…I almost forgot my big announcement! Well my good friend and wedding assistant Faith and I have decided to start our own wedding photography company. The name: Blue Sky Wedding Photography. We have been doing weddings together for a while and I thought it would be great if we started doing them as partners, that way I have her graphic design expertise when it comes to album design and she has my joker charm when it comes to editing boredom! We are currently working on behind the scenes stuff, but I will have a web address when it is ready.

I should be packing...but blogging is more fun!!

Faith and I had a great time at Suzanne and Martin's wedding two weeks ago. The weather and barn were so GORGEOUS. They are such a fun, laid back couple. Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Don't you worry...that's not all I have to show. On Father's Day, I photographed Theresa. She is a model and we had so much fun. Maybe it's the way I hold a reflector in tall grass :)

I hope all the dads out there had a great Father’s Day.

I was able to spend a little time with my Father yesterday. I know everyone says this but he really is the greatest dad that a girl could ask for!
I have been working on Suzanne and Martin’s wedding like crazy. I am almost finished but I thought that I would include a little preview for all to see.

With this wedding, a model shoot from last weekend, and a shoot almost everyday this week I have LOTS more images to share soon. I just have to edit them all ;)

What a great weekend. My plans changed…again. A photographer friend called me and asked for help at a wedding on Saturday. The brides (yes, two BEAUTIFUL brides) were so great and the wedding was gorgeous. You could feel the love in the air; even a waitress stopped me and said how loving and kind they were.

Sunday, I was able to spend the day with my god-daughter. She is such a great kid! We ran around and found hiding spots in the bushes. Actually, she found the hiding spaces and I had to try to find her!

I’m very excited for Suzanne and Martin’s wedding this Sunday. It is at such a beautiful location and they are such a fun couple!

Tut, Tut, looks like rain

The weather this past week has been great for outdoor sittings! Too bad the rain is going to start this weekend.

I had two great shoots last week,

The first was these three great kids. Well, two kids and one extremely helpful older sister. It was so much fun to photograph them playing and having a good time.

The second was a beautiful first grade teacher. She was so great, and commented on how someone should photograph me while I am shooting. She says I take funny positions and look somewhat like an old Greek statue. :) People tell me all the time that I look funny, but I never really thought about it. I just do whatever makes the shot in my lens, I get lost in it.

My weekend plans have changed a bit due to the rain, but I am even more excited about what I am doing instead. My god-daughter Ashley is going to be staying with me. On Sunday, I think we are going to be playing in the rain.

Their wedding is just over a month away. A beautiful barn is where their reception is going to be held so we thought only fitting that we do their engagement photos there. They were so great to photograph because they were so loving toward each other and went along with most of my ideas….even climbing a tree!

I am so grateful every day to be doing what I am doing. I love my job! The people I get to photograph, and spend time with, I just keep thinking how lucky I am.

Last week I photographed this gorgeous 10 month old. She was such a blast! She loved rolling around on Mommy's bed, playing peek a boo and giggling.

R.I.P to my computer

So my computer passed away this morning, from complications in surgery. The computer guy was able to get all my images off of it, which is great! My dad was nice enough to let me borrow his laptop so I will be able to get images edited that have been sitting on Cd's for over a week now. I promise that I will have some new images up soon.

OK, I am done with that! :)

Last week was so busy, I didn't have the time to post anything new. Above are Jasmine and Ali. Jasmine is a stunning model who I had a great shoot with at MIT and Ali is a natural beauty I met at Gulu-Gulu. We had such a good time because she was so real and fun to talk with!

Yesterday was one of those days I LOVE my job. Not that I don't all the time, but it just made me sit back and say "I can't believe I get to do this for a living!" I photographed a really fun model, Jen at the dance complex in Cambridge. The light was perfect and we gabbed the whole time. After my shoot I met with fantastic potential wedding clients. They were both so open, warm and friendly it made want to beg them to shoot their wedding! :)

"What's up for me this week?" you wonder. Well, on Wednesday I have a shoot with Michelle, a gorgeous model, Saturday is Mom's 50th Surprise Birthday party (which she personally invited me to ;), and Sunday I have two shoots, one at the Beautiful Arnold Arboretum and the next at my house. Busy, Busy week for me...WOOHOO!

Cold Wedding!!

What a nice couple of days off! Yesterday Pete and I went to the Griffin museum of photography in Winchester which was having a great exhibit! We were in Museum mode apparently, because after that we went to the Fogg museum in Cambridge. It was nice to spend some time together after all the work I have been doing lately!

Last week I photographed an outdoor wedding. Before the ceremony I went to the bride and grooms house to take pictures of their kids and take a few formal shots. Everyone was so nice, and although it was below zero, the 8 minute ceremony wasn't that bad.

Snow? What's that?

So yesterday was our first official snow storm of the season and it was a pain. No one was really prepared for all the slick roads and white stuff falling from the sky. Today everything has just frozen so black ice is on the roads, a little dangerous.

This afternoon I am taking a drive to Hopkinton to photograph a wedding...OUTSIDE! It may be cold, but I think it is going to be a really fun event! The bride is super cool (no pun intended) and I have photographed her girls before, so I'm excited!

I hope everyone stays warm, and I will have new pictures posted soon! :)

My friend Krista is an AMAZING singer/songwriter. Her CD is coming out in February so she asked me to take some new promotional shots. I will post her CD cover when it comes out. I took the cover shot which I am so excited about!

Last week Brendan turned 17 MONTHS! I can hardly believe how old he is getting. He is running all around the house, only stopping to say something he sees. I am still taking his pictures every month which is getting hard, but I am enjoying all the time I get to spend with him.

Last but not least are my girls! I went to go see them last night. I took some pictures of them being as cute as ever:

It's chilly outside. Finally, it is starting to feel like winter. Not that I enjoy the cold, but it is a little odd to photograph a wedding the 6th of January and need to take my jacket off!!

Can you believe it is already 2007? Christmas has already passed, and a new year is upon us. I hope all had a great holiday season!

I have been so busy with the studio the past couple of weeks, I haven't had a chance to do as many shoots as I would like. I am excited that I am photographing John and Clara's wedding on Saturday. It is at the beautiful Lyman Estate in Waltham.

I was able to see my beautiful god-daughter Ashley and her adorable sister Arianna on the day after Christmas. My two favorite girls!!

I also got a Lens baby for Christmas which I have not been able to stop playing with! I love it!

It has been such a busy couple of weeks!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Kellen and Megan. I have been taking pictures of Kellen since he was 7 months and now he has a little sister! He is such a funny kid! I was getting ready to leave and he yelled "Bye, Bye!!" then ran to the door to open it. I didn't even have my jacket on yet. :)

Today's weather is really bizarre. This morning I woke up to snow all over the ground. It's funny because only a few hours later there is no evidence of the snow except for a wet street. Winter in New England...

I am trying to get my Christmas list together on this, one of my few days off. I have decided to give my mom and updated picture of my brother and I. He can be very difficult so pictures of us are scarce. I bribed him and I think got a really good shot.

Lastly, I am excited today because my friend Julis is coming back from Trinidad. She has been on a mission down there for almost 6 months except for a week in August!

I hope all is well with everyone on this rainy Thanksgiving. I have been haveing a busy few weeks and an excited for a home cooked meal this afternoon!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing John and Clara for their engagement sitting. I am going to be shooting their wedding in January at the beautiful Lyman Estate in Waltham. Last Wednesday was such a beautiful warm day. I was able to do all their pictures outside which was a nice suprise in the middle of a rainy week in mid-November.

Today I spent the morning photographing 3 year old Zachary. He was so much fun! When I first walked in, he was telling me about his love for both football and baseball, it depends on his mood he said. That age is the most fun, they have their own personality and always do the unexpected!

It is such a beautiful fall day here in Boston. A comfortable 60 degrees and scattered sun warming the ground with an amber glow. I am of course home sick today. I wish I could go for a walk or photograph someone in the beautiful sun, but no. I did go out in my backyard and take a few shots of the grass with diamond like dew drops:

I am not sure how many more days there will be like this, so atleast I have the opportunity to see it out my window.

I thought it might be fun to start a blog to keep everyone up to date on what I am up to!

Today I went and photographed Brendan for his 14 month photo's. He is always so much fun, and not to mention one of the cutest babies in the world! OK, him being my boyfriend's nephew may make me a little bias...but just look at this little face!!

I have been taking Brendan's pictures since he was born. Since he started talking His mom and I have been saying my name and pointing to me to see if he would repeat it. Today as I was walking out the door I said "Bye Brendan!" and he put up his hand to wave to me and said "Bye Dowie" It is so exciting to hear such a little child say your name!
